1. Should I choose a school in the Seoul area or surrounding provinces?

Studying in Seoul offers a dynamic living experience, convenient transportation, and many part-time job opportunities. However, living costs will be about 20-30% higher than surrounding provinces like Gyeonggi or Busan. If you want to save costs while still ensuring educational quality, schools in surrounding provinces are a great choice trusted by many IKA students.

2. What are the admission requirements for TOP 1% Direct Visa schools?

You need to have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 7.0 or higher, a gap year of no more than 2 years after graduating from the highest level, and a transparent and clear family financial profile.

3. What is the average tuition fee of Universities in Korea?

Tuition fees range from 4,000 to 8,000 USD/year. National Universities generally have cheaper tuition rates (around 3,000 - 5,000 USD) compared to Private schools.

4. Is it mandatory to live in the Dormitory in the first year?

Most schools require international students to live in the Dormitory for the first 6 months for easy management and to help students get used to the new environment safely.

5. Where can I find information about foreign language scholarships?

Scholarship information is usually announced on the school's website. IKA also provides a detailed list and support to apply for scholarships (up to 100% of tuition) if you have a TOPIK 3 certificate or higher.

6. How much is the monthly living cost in Korea roughly?

On average, an international student needs about 8,000,000 - 12,000,000 VND/month for rent, food, and transportation, depending on the living area and individual spending level.

7. Are international students allowed to work part-time?

Yes. Language program students (D-4-1) are allowed to work part-time after 6 months of entry. The maximum working time is 20 hours/week during the semester and unlimited during holidays.

8. What documents are needed to prove finances?

A minimum savings book of 10,000 USD (deposited 6 months in advance for regular schools), parents' income confirmation documents, and other asset ownership papers if any.

9. How long does it take to learn Korean in Vietnam before flying?

Normally it takes 3 - 6 months to learn basic Korean at IKA for you to have enough visa interview skills and basic communication when arriving in Korea.
